12“Please test us for ten days on a diet of vegetables and water,” Daniel said. 13 “At the end of the ten days, see how we look compared to the other young men who are eating the king’s food. Then make your decision in light of what you see.” 14 The attendant agreed to Daniel’s suggestion and tested then for ten days. 15 At the end of the ten days, Daniel and his three friends looked healthier and better nourished than the young men who had been eating the food assigned by the king. 17 God gave these four young men an unusual aptitude for understanding every aspect of literature and wisdom. And God gave Daniel the special ability to interpret the meanings of visions and dreams. Daniel 1:12-15;17 NLT

TODAY’S THOUGHT: “What is good for others might be bad for you.”

In as much as we are all humans, everyone has a different responsibility to play, and understanding the role is pivotal in steering the course of your life. That it is recommended dose not necessarily mean you should participate in it, if your goal and what you wish to achieve is not in the recommendation, you don’t need it. Don’t follow crowd, so that you won’t be lost, follow God and what is right for your life and destiny that’s the way to be found and be identified with the uniqueness Jehovah has given you.

When you do what everybody is doing, your difference will most likely not be seen or even noticed. It pays to be different at the right time. If everyone is doing it doesn’t indicate it is right, don’t join people to do what they feel is right, only do it when it is right for you and will bring you to your destination. Daniel and his three friends, knew very well what they were in for and weren’t scared to be separated from the rest. Result of that separation is what empowered them to be ten times better than their peers and they secured their spot at the palace. Vision will keep you on track, if you’re a man or a woman of purpose, it will be hard to derail and join the crowd, people follow crowd most times because vision is not clear and when understanding is limited.

Don’t follow the crowd, follow your vision to be identified.

Have your visions planned on how to get there. When your life is planned it is secured from outside influences that doesn’t align with your purpose.
