Sitting across from the offering box, he was observing how the crowd tossed money in for the collection. Many of the rich were making large contributions. One poor widow came up and put in two small coins—a measly two cents. Jesus called his disciples over and said, “The truth is that this poor widow gave more to the collection than all the others put together. All the others gave what they’ll never miss; she gave extravagantly what she couldn’t afford—she gave her all.” Mark 12:41-44 MSG

TODAY’S THOUGHT: “To give in scarcity is a sign of great regard and respect to God.”

To give in the midst of scarcity and lack is a sign of great regard and respect to God, and God always blesses such act with abundance of His blessings. Hannah prayed and offered to God a son that she hasn’t seen nor conceived. The end result was not only Samuel, she gave birth to additional four children making them five in total, 1Samuel 2:21. Beloved, according to Scriptures in Deuteronomy 16:16, it is an error to appear before the Lord empty-handed. There’s always something to offer God, if you don’t have the physical cash/money don’t lack the worship from your mouth.

According to our Scriptural verses above, Jesus didn’t condemn the rich that gave, He only said that the woman gave more, reason being that it was her last. She had every reason to hold back and complain about her transport fare back home or lack of food in the house or whatever, but she choose to give. Beloved never say I have nothing to give, don’t say when God blesses me I will give Him. The one in your hand presently should be planned with God included, that’s how to activate the blessing of supernatural abundance. Givers never lack and a giver is blessed by God. Giving is the doorway to receiving; it gives access to the portal of abundance. When you give what ordinarily will solve a financial problem for you or something the reward is far greater than when you just give randomly out of your change.

Giving to deny yourself of personal gains to meet the demands of God and your fellow human is the greatest form of giving that attracts urgent supernatural release into the life of the giver. Such persons can never be stranded in life.

Don’t give because it is convenient for you to give; give as a sign of appreciation and gratitude to God for all His goodness to you and for the spread of the gospel.

I receive the heart to give to God and to His work. Help me Lord to help my fellow human beings, in any area that I can in Jesus name. No more giving without evidence to show for.

I decree upon your life that scarcity and empty-handedness is over forever in Jesus name. You shall bring forth gains in Jesus Mighty Name.
